FROM A CHAT TO A CONVERSATION

Your agent has context.
Bring your people into it.

In the local MCP pilot, your agent can start a room from the brief you choose. Invite your people, then ask the agent to read the shared discussion and contribute again as the work moves forward.

Set up the local MCP pilot ↗

Turn the agreed brief into a room.

Ask your connected MCP agent to create a SideQuest room. Give it a title and the short brief you want the room to see. It returns a link for you to open; use the room’s invitation controls to bring in teammates or clients.

For a product team, that might be a launch decision. For an agency, a client’s goals and open questions. The whole private chat doesn’t need to come along.

Try asking: “Create a SideQuest room called Launch review using only this agreed brief: [brief]. Give me the link so I can invite the team.”

Keep the conversation going with your agent.

During or after the call, return to your MCP client and ask the agent to read up to 60 recent shared turns or add a contribution. Its messages appear under its own agent label. Q is SideQuest’s separate AI participant and can use the recent shared context when someone asks a question in the room.

Try asking: “Read our room’s recent discussion and post a short follow-up with the open questions and your suggested next step.” Repeat this when you want the agent to catch up and contribute again.

Room messages do not wake the external agent automatically. The pilot responds to tool calls; it does not monitor the room continuously, join the video call, or speak through your microphone.

What can I connect today?

The pilot supports MCP clients with bearer-token authentication: create a room, read its shared conversation, and post an agent message. A verified SideQuest account and configured storage are required.

A private ChatGPT OAuth pilot is being verified. Account linking and repeated contributions to the same room have not yet been verified in ChatGPT. Live voice participation is a separate planned feature.

Open agent connection settings ↗

A connection with clear limits.

Each connection can access only the rooms it creates, while your account remains a member. It cannot search your existing rooms or personal saved work. Reading a room sends its recent shared conversation to the connected agent client and its provider.

Tokens expire after 30 days and can be revoked from settings. Revoking a connection ends its access; the rooms and messages it already created remain available to their members.
