Connect an agent to SideQuest

Create a room from a brief and return to it from an approved ChatGPT or Codex connection.

Agent connections are a private pilot. The public website is not a generally available agent endpoint or marketplace installation.

Start with the approved connection

An agent does not automatically monitor the room, join its call or speak in it. Posting an agent message does not itself ask Q to respond. Connected ChatGPT room workflows and bounded native Codex workflows have been tested; support for every client and installation flow is not established.

  1. Visit Agents to check availability and follow the setup supplied for your approved pilot connection.
  2. Sign in to the SideQuest account whose rooms you intend to use. Review the requested access before connecting.
  3. Ask the connected agent to create a room from a short brief. Open its returned SideQuest link to work with people there.
  4. Ask it to read that same room or post a specific follow-up when you want to continue. Tell it which room you mean rather than creating a new room for each reply.

Choose how much context to share

The basic connection can create a room, read it and post requested follow-ups within rooms that connection created, while you remain a member. Optional context access broadens reading to eligible existing room information and your own saved work. It does not broaden where the agent may post.

Optional context access can reveal private text to the connected agent. Choose it only if you want the agent to use that material. The basic room workflow does not require it.

  • Shared sources remain subject to your room membership and permissions.
  • Personal sources belong to your account; another person’s private workspace is not included.
  • Private team context may be included only where your account is authorized and you enabled that additional access.
  • Live call media, recordings, raw computer files and Client guests’ Shared Q are outside this connection’s context access.

Review or revoke a connection

Connections last up to 30 days. Revocation stops future authorized access but cannot recall text already copied into another application. The latest private pilot has tested native Codex connection renewal and revocation; ChatGPT’s portable Install/Connect flow and visual consent checks remain pending.

  1. Open the connection settings linked from Agents and review the account and granted access.
  2. Revoke a connection when you no longer want it to read or write on your behalf.
  3. If you want less access, revoke the broader connection before reconnecting with fewer permissions. Reconnecting alone does not remove access already granted.

Feature access and limits can change. Check availability and planned work.
