What is available, in pilot and next
A clear boundary between what you can use today and where SideQuest is heading.
This page includes all four statuses. Planned items are direction, not release commitments; unreleased implementations are not public features.
Available in the public browser product
- Collaborative rooms, shared Q conversation and voice, audio/video and screen sharing.
- Dedicated Interview, Broadcast and Client rooms with their own guest and private-Q permissions.
- Public-source research, Q’s computer, private saved work and explicit selected-result sharing.
- Synthetic Markets and Onboarding datasets with shared results and saved continuation.
- Optional Collaborative room recording after participant agreement, with room playback, download and deletion.
- Company profiles and teammate invitations, plus editable room starters.
Private pilot
| Feature | Current boundary |
|---|---|
| Bring Q in Google Meet | Approved accounts only. Admission, spoken input, audible reply and removal checked; computer work, meeting presentation, spoken revision and save/reopen still need live-call acceptance. |
| ChatGPT and Codex connections | Approved connections and bounded room/context workflows. Native Codex lifecycle checks are recorded; ChatGPT portable installation and visual consent checks remain pending. |
Awaiting release
These labels describe implementation progress, not a promised launch date. Published documentation does not turn an unreleased control into an available feature.
- Room Tasks history and saved activity replay: inspect your active, attention-needed and earlier tasks without rerunning them. Local implementation is not yet part of the public product.
- Standalone screen demos: record in the browser, preview privately and explicitly add the result to a room. This is separate from the released live-room recording feature.
- Native iOS: an alpha implementation exists, but there is no publicly released iPhone app or established physical-device acceptance.
Planned product direction
The intended experience is to ask Q, clarify the task, watch useful work, review a presentation and redirect it together. Notes and recaps can support that experience. A persistent space, invitation mailbox, general meeting bot, public result link and automatic follow-up loop are not available today.
- Invite Q by email or calendar, with explicit permission and a clear meeting identity.
- Extend active Q participation to Microsoft Teams and other meeting tools, and support native chat workflows.
- Create persistent collaboration spaces that connect sessions, selected context, decisions and shared results.
- Offer carefully scoped result handoffs and follow-ups to recipients, without automatically sharing private work or sending messages to everyone in a call.
How to read these docs
