Start your first SideQuest room

Bring a question, invite a collaborator and make something useful with Q.

These steps describe the public browser product. Agent connections and Bring Q have separate pilot access.

Create a room around one question

  1. Open SideQuest and sign in with Google. Start a new Collaborative room for a conversation with signed-in teammates.
  2. Give the room a useful title. If you choose a Team, Client, Customer or Creative starter, edit its suggested title and question to fit your session.
  3. Create the room. The suggested question stays in the composer until you send it; creating a room does not start a call, invite anyone, record or ask Q to work.
  4. Send a short question to Q. Include the outcome you want and any constraints: for example, ‘Help us compare these three options against cost, effort and customer value.’

Invite someone and join the call

  1. As the room owner, create an invitation and share it with the person you want to join.
  2. Your collaborator opens the invitation and signs in. A company invitation alone does not grant access to this room.
  3. Choose Join audio/video when you are ready. Allow microphone or camera access when your browser asks; use the room controls to change what you share.
  4. Keep a written question in the shared conversation if speech recognition is unavailable. Each person controls Q listening and voice playback on their own device.

Move from discussion to a result

A conversation with Q can help you frame a decision. Research or computer work is a separate, explicit action. Review the proposed task before starting it, then inspect the result before sharing it.

  • Use personal research for public-source investigation and saved reports.
  • Use a synthetic sample dataset to see Q analyze data and present a result to the room.
  • Share a selected personal result deliberately. Other participants do not automatically receive your private workspace.

Choose the right kind of room

Collaborative rooms are the default for signed-in teammates. Dedicated Interview, Broadcast and Client rooms have different guest permissions. A Client starter is only a suggested topic for a normal Collaborative room; it does not create the dedicated Client room mode.

Feature access and limits can change. Check availability and planned work.
